Jessica Matten

Jessica Matten is the President of 7 Forward Entertainment, an Indigenous owned production company based out of the West Coast of Canada.

Matten stars opposite Zahn McClarnon and Kiowa Gordon in the Robert Redford, George R.R. Martin, and Graham Roland’s produced Dark Winds television series directed by Chris Eyre with the AMC Network. 

She is the Voice Over star of “Avatar Airbender’s” new feature film for Nickelodeon and Paramount Studio coming out this October 2025.Recently, Matten is the star of the Lebron James Executive Produced film Rez Ball for Netflix, written and directed by Sydney Freeland and Sterlin Harjo, creator of “Reservation Dogs.” She stars in Season 3 of Discovery Canada and Netflix TV show Frontier starring Jason Momoa. 

Matten is one of the founding members of the first and only Indigenous Film Academy in North America in partnership with Old Sun College out of Siksika Nation, Treaty 7, part of the Blackfoot Confederacy.
