Journey Gillson

Yá’át’ééh, I am Journey Gillson. Born and raised in Gallup, New Mexico, I am the daughter of Karl and Jennifer Gillson. I am Water That Flows Together Clan and I was born for the Big Water Clan. I am a Diné woman that values my cultural traditions; Navajo beliefs greatly influence my education and career paths. I am pursuing a Master’s program in Speech Pathology at UNM and plan to follow up with attaining a doctorate degree. My long-term goal is to bring my educational skills and knowledge back to my people of all Indigenous communities. Ahéhee’.
